My name is Suzanne and I am mom to a 3yo boy and 4 month old girl.  My son has been diagnosed as having sensory issues, along with many autism characteristics (though the psychiatrists say he is NOT autistic).  I'm looking for ideas to help him and me cope everyday.

Hello suzanne!  We have children the same age and my son has sensory integration disorder as well!  The most important thing you can do is let him know he can trust you by not forcing things on him.  He will go at his own pace and you can offer foods and such to him and when he is ready he will go forward.  It does get easier and now that you know what you are dealing with I think things will get so much easier!
