Indigo Children

Hi,

My son, Zen is 2 years old and hasn't been diagnosed with anything, but he's receiving Speech and Occupational therapy with early intervention. They seem to think he has something called Sensory Intergration disorder. I have no problem if this is indeed the case, but he seems advanced in other ways. He's always shown no interest in being taught, instead prefering to learn on his own. He's starting to talk now, but still has only a few 2 word phrases. Still, he is aware and bright and seems very intuitive. My husband and I will often tell him thing telepathically and he will respond. Simple commands like "eat" and "stop". He responds immediately. I wonder if many kids who are diagnosed as autistic/sensory are merely on another level, that we, as adults are too inept to notice.

I'm sure it's a lot more than most people notice, being that the majority of people would probably vote to have me commited!

I thought I was crazy for a while there myself to be honest!

Welcome to the group!

See they were talking about that with my 7 year old when he was younger and in the local Head Start programs too. Now they have no clue what to think of him and are trying to say "autism spectrum" since thats the latest craze!

I tried to explain it to a few people, his social worker looked into it and she is now ready to drop us saying that I know what I need to know and no institution can help me better than my own intuition and my communication with him.

If it weren't for the intense need for his social development, I would home school. I think I will home school the baby, when I learn what he needs to know.

I have a feeling I will be learning much more from the boys than I can teach them.
