My birthday was just a few days ago and we had a little get together. Most of the women that came to the party have jobs and they made it known that I, as a SAHM, was useless and that I needed to get out there and get a job. They made me feel like I wasn't doing anything helpful or useful to anyone, that i was inadequate. That raising a family and taking care of the house was something petty. What would you say to people like that?

I would just tell them you are doing the most important job in the world.  And they can go just in a lake.  HA HA How would want someone else raising there kids teaching them stuff you really don't want them to know. My son is three and he was in daycare for eight months and I pulled him out to stay home with him because he was learning to bite and hit and all that bad behavior I would not let him get away with.  If you can afford to stay home why not. I have days when I feel useless as well but I just look at kids and think thank goodness I'm home with you. And how much I care about them.  If you ever need a pick me up.  I'm usually around about this time everyday.
