Musicians Wives/Girlfriends
Public online group

Thank you for the welcome!

We are in the early stages of the band.  My husband has been a musician since I have know him which is 25 yrs.  Our childeren are now 21, 19 and 13.  It has been hard getting his music out because we got married young and had full-time jobs.  My husband has him as the lead singer and lead guitar, our 19 year old son on drums, and a friend on bass.

I see my husband almost everyday except when he has conferences or gigs out-of-town that I cant attend.  I also have a full-time job.  I have seen some of the ugly stuff of the music biz and that is what is kind of scary to me.

I am glad I found your group and your chats have made me take a good look at myself and how I handle situations.  I want to be a better wife so he can follow his passion and dreams.  He has wrote 38 new songs in the past 9 mos and they need to get out.  He has wrote over 100 originals and some of them have touched people.  That is his heart.  He is a very compassionate person.

Thank you for listening,

g

My husband is a musician also...on the gospel side. (PJ Morgan). I, too, have found this group very helpful. I am working on getting wives and girlfriends together next year for a conference because I understand the great need for us to be able to get together and talk with "us." Noone understand our issues like other women who are walking in the same shoes.  So, to Gigi and all other women in this group, I extend my long hand of friendship and hope that we use this group and other opportunities to help build and keep each other lifted up!

Hi Gals,

Welcome, Nicole!  Sounds like you understand completely!  And, Gigi, it sounds like it's your husband's time to share his music - good for him (and you guys)!  Glad to have you both onboard!

My husband is a working musician also - he has a couple of bands and plays on stage and in studio for others.  We live in Austin so he plays locally, does one-offs, and goes on tour.  I find this board especially helpful when I'm sitting home alone because he's on tour.
