Car Screamer

Oh My goodness ladies!!!!!!!!!!!! Our Logan (9 weeks) is not a happy camper in the car. He has now started to cry with us just putting him in his car seat. It's as if he knows what's coming, which I wouldn't be surprised. He cries if it's a 10 min ride to the store or 1 hr ride to Savannah. (We found that out the hard way) He screams so, that he chokes him self up, turns bright red, and today he spit up.

As you can imagine, it breaks my heart to see and hear him like this! To the point that I often don't go to Mommy Group playdates anymore or anywhere else for that matter. Today I HAD to go pick somethings up... and it was horrible. I would stop and pick him up. HE would stop crying right away. If I am driving straight .. he settles down a little. But if I have to stop or turn.. it starts all over again (even if it's just changing lanes!) . I live on an island (not a lot of straigt roads) and have a couple of things I have  to do in Savannah.. the city of squares.

It has been sugested to me that he may get car sick. I going to get him some Gripe Water tongiht after my husband gets home. I think Logan has had enough torture for today.

Besides Gripe Water.. do any of you ladies know of anything I can try? I don't know what I will do in less than a week when we leave for 5 hr drive to ATL if I can't do something about this.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go out and buy a CD called "The Happiest Baby on the Block."  It has tracks of sound effects to help calm baby.  Play track 4 (Hair Dryer) in the car as loud as you can.

Works like a charm.
