Hi Moms!

My name is Julie and I live near Dallas, Texas with my husband and 4.5 year old Son Cameron. We adopted him at birth and swear daily he has to be our biological child ! He would love to have a sibling or at least he thinks ( they think at this age that they will pop out and be an instant playmate) LOL. We are on the verge of explaining to him that he is adopted although we have always used that verbage around him. We did an open adoption and have a great relationship with his birthparents and families. Our biggest challenge has been to make sure he learns to share and care about and with others. Luckily he has the sharing thing down, we just don't want him to be too full of himself. He certainly isn't lonely as we have lots of neighborhood kids to play with and belong to some playgroups. He is learning to play by himself at this age and really likes to have some "alone" time to play pretend. I do feel really guilty sometimes about him not having a sibling but unless God has some other plan, we are good with one! I look forward to hearing from and learning about you other Mommies.
