My 3 month old appears to be teething. She drools all the time and constantly chews on her hands, or mine whichever she can get in her mouth. I looked at her gums and she has those little white blister looking spots, two of them. She seems pretty cranky most of the time, which is not her style, shes usually a very happy baby. I have infants tylenol and teething tablets. The tylenol works longer but i'm afraid to give it too her all the time. Liver damage worries me. How often is it safe to give the teething tablets? or the tylenol? What about extended periods of time? Can i give both of them at the same time? I don't want my baby to be in pain, but i don't want to overdo it with the pain meds! |

If she already has the white bumps it shouldn't be much longer til the teeth are through the gums. I have never used the teething tablets for my baby but I did use tylenol when she was teething, I believe that liver damage comes into play when you are constantly giving tylenol, I don't think that for the teething time say 3 or 4 times a day for a week or so will hurt her but if you are still worried then you can talk to your doctor and see what they reccommend. Also have you tried the teething rings that you can put in the fridge or freezer to help numb her gums for a while too? |

I've tried the teething rings, and she hates them. She gets mad and starts screaming. I've also tried a cold wet washcloth and she doesn't like those either. I don't currently have a pediatrician i can call becuase my husband is between jobs and we don't have any insurance. I just don't want my baby to be hurting all the time |

Mackenzie is teething too. Have you tried using a finger toothbrush or gum massagers? She really enjoys them. Gerber has a tooth & gum cleanser too, it's flavored apple-banana and doesn't have floride so they can swallow it. |

Our son began teething early as well. So far (he's 9mo. now) he's cut 8 total We used the dye-free cherry flavored Tylenol. But, I only gave it to him when and if he seemed really warm, distraught, and it was keeping him up at night. I was nervous about the liver damage, too...but I think if you just ask your pediatrician and/or follow the chart on the bottle, she'll be fine. Once again, I used other methods to soothe him and saved the meds for night-time and harder more painful days |
