So on Memorial Day, I brought Eliza to the beach by my house for the first time! We had a really good time and it was really manageable. I always think trips to the beach are a lot of work. I was thinking though, that it would make for a really fun playdate! I don't have a date yet.. Tom Messner hasn't come down from the heavens and proclaimed, "Let there be light!" Although upon consulting WPTZ.com's Extended Seven Day Forecast.. It looks like Wednesday might be nice.. I'll believe it when I see it. When the forecast becomes more concrete.. (is that oxymoronic? A concrete forecast?) I'll post an event. In the meantime, here are a few ideas on what to bring!
Sunscreen (!), sand toys, towels and/or blankets, snack/lunch (there are picnic tables and a bbq.. we could make a day of it, with husbys, partners, baby daddies and everything! It would be nice even for a regular playdate). I put Eliza in her bathing suit and a swimmie diaper even though the water is still a bit too cold for swimming. I find it's just easier. A change of clothes would probably be in order for those who end up getting more than their toes wet. Also, shoes that can go in the sand/water. The beach has some sticks and rocks. Let me know if this sounds good to anyone/everyone. |
