Playdate at the Beach!

So on Memorial Day, I brought Eliza to the beach by my house for the first time! We had a really good time and it was really manageable. I always think trips to the beach are a lot of work. I was thinking though, that it would make for a really fun playdate! I don't have a date yet.. Tom Messner hasn't come down from the heavens and proclaimed, "Let there be light!" Although upon consulting WPTZ.com's Extended Seven Day Forecast.. It looks like Wednesday might be nice.. I'll believe it when I see it. When the forecast becomes more concrete.. (is that oxymoronic? A concrete forecast?) I'll post an event. In the meantime, here are a few ideas on what to bring!

Sunscreen (!), sand toys, towels and/or blankets, snack/lunch (there are picnic tables and a bbq.. we could make a day of it, with husbys, partners, baby daddies Wink and everything! It would be nice even for a regular playdate). I put Eliza in her bathing suit and a swimmie diaper even though the water is still a bit too cold for swimming. I find it's just easier. A change of clothes would probably be in order for those who end up getting more than their toes wet. Also, shoes that can go in the sand/water. The beach has some sticks and rocks. Let me know if this sounds good to anyone/everyone.

We would be there! Knowing my kids they would go right for the water but that's fine.

Yes we would love it... does anyone have an umbrella?  That way colden and lexi and possible willow could be sheltered from the sun.

Oh that sounds like fun, i have the an umbrella that is for the picnic tamble and the sand a water table  but it could always be shoved in the sand i am sure.  Cole i am sure will go into the water because he is crazy and loves it and doesn't care if it is cold

Yay! The water near the shore is really shallow.  It doesn't get deep for a good 20 feet out. The kids will have a blast. I think the umbrella is a great idea. I re-checked Wednesday's forecast, they dropped the temperature so I'll keep my eye out for a nice day.

Jaime go ahead.  I am wearing my thong. lol.  I don't think we have anything either of those days.  Although we just ripped the wall in the kitchen and have to spend a day in town buying stuff.  Yay!  Bt I will try to do it on the yuckier day.
