Hi, my name is Tessa and I have two young boys. Kaleb is six months and Terry is 18 months. We always knew somthing about Terry was diffrent, and thought it was most likely autism, but we just recieved the diagnosis last week. So now i am looking for the best books on autism to get and was hoping to get some recommendations from you (parents of autistic children).

In giving me suggestions, please list the title and author and of the book, plus a little background on what it discusses or covers, the authors standpoint (whether they believe it comes from immunizations or genetics, ect.)  and if it helped your children any, and if so, how.  Thanks ahead of time. I really need the help, there is just so much out there.

Hi Tessa, I am sorry, I meant to reply sooner.  But being a WAHM of a 2 1/2 year old on the spectrum and a 6 month old keeps me very busy!

I do not have any books to recommend.   I do a little research on the internet from time to time.  But most of my info comes from my son's teachers.  He is in an amazing ABA program through our school system's infants and toddlers program.
