Well ladies I am going this morning to pick up my infamous size 10 wedding dress. I get to bring it home and hopefully I can find someone here to alter it. I am a little nervous to try it on but we will see...

i dont know the adress but i know thereis someone in peru who does it cheap. my b/s sister is getting married and another person in the briadal party told us about the person. if you want me to see if i can find the number let me know.

Good luck Adrienne! I'll cross my fingers for you. I know there is a tailor on Clinton Street in Plattsburgh. Drove by it the other day. Don't know how expensive they are though. Let us know how it works out!

Good luck, i am sure it will be great.  And i know a great Taylor named Dolly she lives right about the Co-op and isn't to crazy expensize.  I had to get a lot hemmed on mine like 8 inches my dress kept growing after we hemmed it so i was there a total of like 6 times for fittings and i only paided 150.  She is super nice lady and really likes what she does.

It fits! I just got the word. Ann, the tailor in Peru had a some kind of heart problem and while she's still working, her work isn't as good as it used to be. We used to take all of my sister's dance costumes there each year. There's a woman who used to be on Olivetti but she's terrible. My SIL took all of the gowns from her wedding there and it was almost a disaster. I forget her name.. L something. I think Adrienne said something about making a few minor alterations but that's it.

Yes all my beautiful ladies, it fits. Its a little snug but nothing that isn't fixable by November, or with help from a body shaper or something of the sort. I did bring the dress with me so I could get someone here to alter it. I need the train cut off so it is a lot of work. Steph if the person who did your dress is here thats great, so me where to sign up. I just spent a lot on the dress so I just want it to be perfect.

i will try to find her number for you, i can't remember it off hand i know the lady does all of my sisters coworker hemming she did all of the dresses of everyone in my party, and she also hand made my cousins wedding dress so i would say she is pretty good at what she does.  I will get the info for you as soon as possible
