Just a quick post in case anyone ever comes here looking for any playgroups. I joined Meetup and some of the groups there are pretty active. We are up for a playdate if anyone is ever interested!

Hi Jennifer,

 My name is Tina and I am an organizer at one of the meetups in the Joliet/Shorewood area.  Would love for you to check out our website and join us.  We have a great group of moms and kids and keep very active.  We usually schedule 3 outings weekly, but you are not required to attend all, just whatever you want and have time to do.  We do plark playdates and picnics, in home playdates, trips to museums, zoos and all kinds of fun things in the area.  We've also done girls night out and couples night out which have been a lot of fun.
