Son wont drink milk from a cup at all??

My son is 16 months old. He started with a sippy cup at 10 months, and now he has the cup with a straw in it...he cant get the hang of a free flowing adult cup so we dont even go there....my problem is, I am trying to get him to take his milk at nap time and bed time through a sippy cup.  He absolutely will not do it! He takes it out of his mouth and throws it! Anyone have any advise?

No, but I have a feeling I'm heading in the same direction as you. I started my daughter on the sippy cup at 5 months. She was great w/ it and then about a month ago she got real sick, so I took the sippy cup away (Since she'd get frustrated & was sick) and just gave her a bottle. She's now 8 months & I've tried to get her back on the sippy cup & she no longer likes it! I dont know what to do.

You might want to try something else besides liquids prior to nap/bedtime. It will come in handy later and they won't wake up as wet. Try to find something else that comforts them, such as a "lovie", rocking, rubbing their back, or singing nursery ryhmes. Potty training will be much easier if they aren't use to liuids prior to bedtime. Try giving the milk an hour before and do other quiet activities right before you put them to bed.

My son wasn't too keen on sippy cups until he was about a year old. We actually started him out on the Playtex tumblers, which resemble travel coffee mugs. He liked the spout better than the sippy one, which I think reminded him of a bottle and frustrated him that he couldn't suck the liquid out the same way. We eventually switched him to the Thomas and Friends sippy cups, which he now loves since he is sooo into Thomas. GOOD LUCK!!
