Hi I'm Eileen and love to read, especially mysteries, the cozies

I enjoy reading Carol Higgins Clark's series, and Donna Andrews. Can someone refer me to any other authors? I mean to try to read when my 1 year old is napping. If I get to :-)

Hi Eileen! Welcome!

I don't know if you have read the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich or not but I know those are popular.  I have read the first two and they are humorous and light.  They are mysteries.

I like Dan Brown also, Angels and Demons is my favorite.

I don't know if you like chick lit at all but if you do I enjoy books by Sophie Kinsella.  Her books usually have young women as main characters. She is a british author so some of the language is unfamiliar but not to the point where you can't understand the story.  Her books are easy and light reading and have a little bit of romance in each.

There is also a trilogy by Maria V. Snyder that I really enjoyed.  The first one is called Poison Study.  The first book is about a girl named Yelena who is sentenced to die for murder and is given the chance to become the commander's food taster but they give her a poison that will kill her in a day if she doesn't take the antidote.  This series has magical elements in it but that part of the story doesn't really develop until the second and third books.

I hope some of these books sound good to you. :)
