Convertible car seat suggestions

Hello, Does anyone have an oppinion on what type of convertible car seat I should buy my 8 month old? There is too much info online and I need direction. Thanks, Kristi

Kristi, I have the Eddie Bauer 3 in 1. It is rear facing and can go to foward facing and then booster seat and holds children up to 100 pounds, so it will probably be the last carseat I will need. It is great and has rated very well for safety and chemical content. Do a google search for recalled carseats. There is a website that just lists recalled items of all types, I forgot the address, but it's a gov't website, I believe. If I find it I will let you know. I know it can be confusing with so many choices. I recommend either Eddie Bauer or Graco. I am all for saving money on just about everything possible, but do not sacrice quality for price when it comes to something this important.
