This group was created to find local parents in the Pittsburgh area to do things together with our Tween girls.  Unfortunately, we only have a few members, but I am hoping it will grow.  You are welcome to our group, but since you live in CA, you will only be able to chat with us and I'm afraid we are pretty quiet. :)  Perhaps you can liven things up.
