We just moved here with our 1 year old and are looking for recomendations for pediatricians.If you know a good pediatrician or know of any that we should avoid let me know.

I would love info on this too.  We have lived here for my 2 yr 4 mos olds whole life and have used the Family paractice clinic through UNMH.  They are very good and know us all but I am getting a bit sick of the less personal style the doctors have.  It is true chidlren need thier own periatrition.  NOt all doctors are good with or even like children.

If in need the after hours clinics are great.  There is one on Montgomery and one I think in Rio Rancho (look them up on-line,it's worthit when a fever spikes at 10;30 and don't want to go to ER).  They suggest call in's but we just walked in and were in and out in less than an hour:)  GREAT QUESTION!!!!! I hope someone has a better responce than me....

Well I have a really great one for my three kiddos. If you have presbytrain salud or regular pres insurance his name is Thomas Rothfield. He is awesome!! My kids just love him. There is no more I dont want to go or fits thrown because their scared to go. After hours pediatrics is also great too for ugrent care things. K is right they have one on montgomery and one on paradise road in talyor rach. Both clinics are great. Im sorry K you have had so much trouble with UNMH. I use to work the ER there and let me be the first to tell you that all their clinics are have the same prob. They have way to many patients and not enough clinics to help with the uninsured people. With that said there is still NO excuse to treat patients that way! Hope this helps!
