Help! I need answers!

I've had my mommy membership card for 2 1/2 years now... there are still much I have to learn I know, unfortunately not everything is in a book or on the internet... so I thought I could get some help from you all!

1. When shopping for a girl, when the dress doesn't have the matching panty cover, are you supposed to buy one? (Do they sell plain ones seperately) or is it okay to just have their diaper exposed? I don't know is that baby fashion don't or what?!?! Is there a certain age when its okay and when its not?

2. When do you stop having your child ride in a stroller?

3. Is there a car seat for kids that seem too old for the 5 pt harness one, but not quite ready for a booster? (i.e. age 3?)

4. What bread do you use to make french toast? lol... I know, I had to throw it in there! I really wanna know!!!

5. How much tv and junk food do you REALLY let your kid have? I try to keep it minimal, and mostly eliminate all together... um... that hasn't worked out too well lately ;(

6. The dentist gave me a timer to use when brushing my kids teeth, I'm happy to last half as long... any teeth cleaning tips? No cavities so far... like to keep it that way.

7. HOW DID YOU LEARN TO ORGANIZE YOUR DAY?!?!?!?!?!

HELP!!!!!!!

Hope I can help some!  We have a 2 1/2 boy and 2 week girl.

1.  I think as long as she's still in diapers, it's not a big deal if she has a cover or not.  If it's a "short" dress, you might try to find one that matches half way or use a cloth diaper cover.  If it's longer, who cares?  It's not her bare bottom showing.  (Our daughter is only 2 weeks old so I may change when she's 2 years old. lol)

2.  Our son still rides in a stroller at times; long walks, longer shopping trips, airports, etc.  We take the umbrella stroller to the zoo and when he's tired or needs a break, he hops in.  You could always use a wagon instead of a stroller if you think people are judgmental.

3. Just my opinion, but leave her in a 5 point harness as long as possible.  Our son has almost outgrown his and I intend on buying another 5point that goes up to 65 pounds.  I've heard and seen too many accidents where the child was injured badly using a booster too early.

4.  We've found Sara Lee bread (any kind but whole wheat) makes great French Toast.  The wheat bread tends to get really soggy for some reason. Tongue out

5. TV about an hour of videos (we don't have cable) like Reading Rainbow, Dragon Tales, Thomas or something like it.  He does get to watch a movie ever now and then but they are Disney movies like Lion King, Cars, Mary Poppins, etc.

6.  If our son lets us brush his teeth really well with no, or minimal, fussing we use a dry erase marker and draw a smiley face on the back of his hand.  We let him choose the color and he LOVES it!  It is a great motivator for teeth.  Potty training, not so much! LOL

7.  I'm still trying to organize my day, or re-organize it anyway with a new baby.  I let his schedule/routine "dictate" my day.  I would do things around nap times and eating.  Now, he's much more flexible so we just go/do when baby is happy.  I did start backwards with bedtime to get naps, snack, and meals where I wanted them to make it easier to run errands and meet up for playgroups and such.

Good luck!
