My name is Amy Owen and I'm currently certifying through ALACE (www.alace.org) to become a birth doula. I live in Norristown.  I travel within a 30 mile radius of Norristown, which includes Quakertown to the North, Downingtown to the west, and parts of NJ and DE.
 
I'm reaching out to my community in hopes of providing birth doula services.
I am experienced, educated, and have a passion for birth.
My goal, as a doula, is to help you have the birth you desire, to be your advocate and to help you and your birth partner communicate during birth.
 
My services include, but are not limited to:
A back up doula in case I’m unable to attend, if possible
2+ prenatal visits in your home
Belly casting
Birth plan assistance
Unlimited prenatal support via email and phone
On-call 24/7 from the 2 weeks prior to your due date until birth
Support in labor as soon as you need me; either at your home, birth center or hospital
Constant support throughout labor and birth
A written story/timeline of the birth
Birth photography (optional and to your specifications)
Assistance with initial breastfeeding
Support in the immediate postpartum period (usually 2-3 hours)
1+  postpartum visit in the home to discuss your birth, answer any questions and admire the baby
