SE Playgroup - Parents group
Public group from Portland, OR

Welcome to the group! Welcome Back!

Welcome to the group if you are new!...and... Welcome back if you have been a member for awhile..

Features to check out on this site:

Calendar/Events -- I regularly try to find and add new events and activities to this list.. They are all local events.. If you know of local actitivities and events PLEASE POST THEM... They don't have to be structured, maybe you want to host a playgroup or you know about a class at a community center. pretty much anything relevant to your family that other families may attend. It can be girls night out, dog park play dates, ect..

Classifieds-- I used this to post some recurring activities at community centers, but you can post other items here.. got quality baby/kids stuff to sell..

List/Resources -- I created a list here of websites that have activities or links to local activities that I plan on sorting through and adding to the calendar... feel free to add to this list

Polls - I created a poll here to find out where I should focus my search for activities, I am thinking that I will probably close the poll..

the rest is self explains...

I am still interested in hosting a playgroup. I thought that at least for the first couple that I would have them on Sunday afternoons. I chose this so that we could get to know entire families... this may not work for some people. Let me know if playgroup/dates interest you and we can arrange something. My son is now 13 months old and runs around like a mad man, but he still is very gentle with all other babies, in fact, he is kind of shy.

We would really love to make some new friends!

If I forgot to say something I will post it as a reply to this message.

Thanks again for joining our group!!!

I would be very interested in a play date.  My son is almost 16 months old and he NEEDS A BUDDY!  hahaha.  I'm getting tired :>)  I can only play peek-a-boo for 5 hours or so... Just kidding.

When we were at the play park the other day he tried so hard to play with some other kids but they either didn't know how or were doing there own thing.

This Sunday is open for me and my family.  The next sunday is mothers day and I have it planned to spend it with my mom.  Let me know what works and if you are going to have one and we can go from there

This sunday might work for us too.. I plan on going to the 1/2 off sale at the wee-cycle consignment sale here in Milwaukie in the morning(if they don't let me shop the half off sale on Saturday during my shift)... then I have volunteered to help close down the sale starting at 3pm.. I'll have to touch base with my husband about it, but I think something around 1pm might work for about an hour or so.. If not, maybe next Saturday if that would work for you. I'll have to make sure that there isn't a car show though.. I think my husband was talking about one thats coming up.. If this doesn't work out we'll figure something out.

I totally get the playing for hours.. sometimes my son is happy playing all by himself, but there are days when he wants my nonstop attention.
