Check out Yahoo Groups for a mom's group in your area for stay at home moms.  Since it is free to run a group through Yahoo, there are no fees.  You should also check out your local library for storytimes, which is also popular due to it being free.  Your local recreation center might also have low cost classes like mommy and me or tumbling.  And, your local YMCA might also have something.  My daughter has taken Karate through our local YMCA since she was 3.

Hope I have helped.  Good luck.  I, myself, started up a Yahoo Group since one wasn't close enough to my area.  It is very easy and free, and they talk you through it.  It was 4 years ago and the best thing I ever did for my kids and myself.

Jasmine,

With a preschooler and a toddler, you are a busy woman!  I moved to a new area last summer and needed to make some friends as well for my son and myself.  Check out www.mops.org

This group has been a great resource for me.  It's nice to connect with others in motherhood and have a few hours to enjoy the company of others who are living a similiar existence.

Best of luck acclimating and making new friends!

Blessings,

Kenni Raye
