Rainy Day Activities...

Sometimes when my son (2 years old) and I are stuck in the house because it's raining or he's sick, I run out of things for us to do. Does anyone have any rainy day suggestions? I hate going out in the bad weather! I am willing to get creative!

you can  do many different things despite stereotypes

baking and cooking with him will always be fun just buy cake pans in different shapes and with cartoon characters on them

also stop by your local arts and crafts store and pick up different things to do make build all sorts of things he will love it just switch it up and after tthe rain is done take him outside to splash in the puddles i did it as a child and check out babycenter.com and sheknows.com

they have tons of different stuff on there sites i hope this helps

familyfun.com also is a good site to check out for ideas. Also play-doh, squish bags (fill a ziplock bag with ketchup, mustard, etc., zip and let your little ones squish away!), puzzles, coloring books, washable paints, collages with paper scraps, pasta and glue. Good luck!

my daughter likes play-doh, coloring, turning the couch into a fort, playing in a little bit of powdered sugar (nice and easy to clean up). Pulling all my pots and pans out is a big hit to, then I give her a wooden spoon and let her bang on the pots, loud but fun. Most of the time she will turn one over and put her fruit loops in it and stir with the spoon like she is cooking. ; )

Thanks everyone for the great ideas! I have spent the majority of my week indoors with very unpredictable spring weather.
