we just got matched to adopt two boys --- they are 22 mos and 3 1/2.
what do i need? i know car seats, toddler beds, high chair, stroller, BUT I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT ELSE THEY NEED.
so, moms of boys (we're foster parents who have only had emergency placements of girls) WHAT DO I DO? |

Congradulations !!!!!!!!!!! first off.
Boy oh boy quite honestly I think u have the essentials pretty much down. U made need diapers for the younger child and if so a potty seat with a penis guard on it. Boys toys and bikes . They love trucks and all adventurous out door things like slide , sandbox. , water pisels . Boys tend to really play wwith things that girls would as well (not dolls) like crayons , markers , playdoh so u probably already have things that they will enjoy playing with'

Congratulations! That is so wonderful! My son is 19 months old and he loves books! Toys are always good, but don't spend too much. We have tons of toys but he always goes to play with his soccer ball. Bath toys are good to have, too. You'll probably need some sippy cups if the 22 month old is not still using a bottle.

| I HAVE A A 1 1/2 YEAR OLD AND TOYS THEY LIKE TRUCKS, AND TRACTORS. YOUR 22MOS OLD SHOULD BE IN 24MONTH TO 2T CLOTHING. AND YOUR 3 1/2 YEAR OLD SHOULD WEAR 3T. YOULL NEED A TRAINING POTTY, AND THE BEST HIGHCHAIR IS LIKE A BOOSTER SEAT IT CLIPS ON TO THE CHAIRS LIKE WHAT YOU USE AT THE TABLE IT JUST LACHES TO IT AAND THEN YOU CAN ALSO TRAVEL WITH IT. | Hi Christina! Glad to hear about your good news! My son is going to be two this weekend and he loves anything to do with sports. Right now he's into hitting golf balls and t-ball. He loves the movie Cars, he plays with his dinosaurs a lot and of course legos and play dogh. He is a daddy's boy lately, so I'm sure you're husband will love having "little guys" wanting to do everything he does. My son has his own set of tools so he can be like daddy and fix things. He follows him around all weekend. I agree you'll need lots of shirts. Invest in some stain stick or oxy clean because little boys get real dirty. I reccommend having play shoes and play clothes. Outside climbing toys, bikes, and sand or water play is also a big hit. I'm sure the girls loved that too. Congrats! Enjoy! |
