How do I do this?

I find it extremely hard to keep my house clean and teach my 3 year old  daughter. I guess it dosen't help because I don't really have a good schedule. Can someone tell me about your schedule for the day. Maybe it can help. Thanks.

My daughter is 2 and she takes two naps a day and during the second one I try to have some me time. Even with a schedule I have a hard time keeping our house clean, dinner ready, laundry done, and spend time with my daughter. I try to have Victoria help put her toys away so that I don't have to pick them up during nap time.

I just take it as it comes and what gets done gets done. My husband will help wash the dishes, we don't have a dishwasher. Although I do get frustraited when things don't get done and the house looks like a mess. Hope you can find something that works for you, I keep trying to find what works for me.

yeah i dont have a schedule either i just take the moment to clean as it comes dont stress it your daughter is more important than a clean house and bring her with you when you have to clean a room in the house

I agree with Hillary...a clean house is nice but the time you are able to spend with your daughter is worth a lot more.  I have two little ones (3yrs and 6 months) and they take up quite a bit of my time.  I try to clean when they are napping or involved in a cartoon...of course that doesn't last long so I do cleaning in stages.  If I need to do laundry I usually bring them into my room and play with them on my bed as I fold the clothes.  As far as teaching your daughter, you could go over colors by finding things in the house and numbers the same way.  I've used flash cards for my 3yr old and Uno cards work very well too, those can be carried around the house while you're doing cleaning.  Just a thought, hope that helps you.

OH NOOOO...I could cry.... I just finished writing you this long message, with examples, suggestions, and so on, but when I tried to post I wasn't signed in and the whole thing got lost. So I don't have the time to write too much anymore, but I will say please go check out Flylady.com if you have never tred it before. I was in your shoes last year with a newborn and learning how to be a housewife dealing with cleaning and spending time with my DD. Somebody suggested flylady.com and it has changed my life. Not that you have to follow everything the "flylady" suggests, but it gives you an idea of how to plan your life and implement routines which will help keep you on track. I am still learning, but because of the routines I am doing so much better. Please come back and tell me what you thought of it. I am curious if you'll feel he same way I did. I felt like it opened my eyes and my brain to understand how to run my household. Good luck, Roxanne

My twins (coming to 3 years old this 20 April) learn to pick up things and tidy the place in the sunday school.  The sunday school teacher will sing like this "pack up, pack up everybody helps to pack up."  My children loved to sing this short phrase while I asked them to help me clear the mess after playing or tidy their room. They enjoy it.  It becomes a habit.  They help me to pack up things and put everything in order.

I schedule my house cleaning like mopping the floor in the evening twice a week after dinner so that my husband can look after them.  Wash the toilet once a week before showering.  Fold all the washed clothing while watching television with them.  I dont do ironing.  My husband does the ironing.  I only iron when I need to wear.

Sometimes I do feel frustrated and tired especially when my period is about to come.  Dont forget, I am stay at home mum looking after my toddlers twins, and at the same time cleaning and preparing meals for the family.

Well, my husband always said if I really cannot cope,  get a part time cleaner to come to clean up the place at least once a week.  So far I did not get one.  Just stick to my own house clearning schedule.  It helps.  You have to be discipline.   The most important job for me is first looking after my children well by spending time with them.  Next will be my lovely house.  Management of time is absolutely important.  Your health too.  Take care.

Thank you so much for all of your help. I like the idea of cleaning the toliet before I take a shower. I just got laid off from my job. so all of this stay at home mom stuff is new and isn't as easy as I thought, even though I've been a mom for 8 years. I'm going to check out the website too! Thanks for that. Oh and the uno cards are a smart idea. I know it's important to spend time with my daughter but I never really know what to do and you all helped out alot. Well right now at this moment my little girl thinks she's living in a barn cause she wants me to make cow and chicken nosies. So I'm gonna go play with her. Thank you so much for everyone's help. you guys are great. talk to you soon
