Thank you for your introduction. I love what you said above !! Every one of us needs to absorb and apply God's word in our life, other wise we will not have the strength we need to fight the endless sin that comes our way. I have always been a believer (as far back as I remember), I grew up going to church. When you are young it is hard to understand the Bible. Three years ago I started reading my Bible and other Bible study materials every day, and I am amazed at the difference that has made in my life. No one is perfect, or even close, sin is all around us every day.  Fight sin by reading The Bible or other Bible study as much as possible. Some people think they are not worthy of going to church or reading the Bible because of certain situations in their life, or they want to wait until they stop doing this or that before they go to church, I know, I was one of them.  I could not have been more wrong, going to church and reading the Bible is what I needed to stop those certain issues I had.  I have been reading my Bible and other study materials for three years, and I have to get up two hours before my kids do. This has really helped me, and that is why I started this group. I wanted to share these great messages that I was reading every day. I have the magazine from Turning Point. There is so much more information in the magazine then I post here. I only post the daily devotional.

I can't tell you how the Lord used you in my life today!  Thankfully, I do realize that because of Christ's life, death and resurrection I can come to Him regardless of what I have done.  The part that really helped me, though, was this: "Fight sin by reading The Bible or other Bible study as much as possible"  and "reading the Bible is what I needed to stop those certain issues I had"  I have a huge discipline problem with reading God's Word.  I just feel as if I have too many other things that need to get done.  I do know how ridiculous that sounds.  And today, a "certain issue" that I have popped up more than once.  My mom is visiting and, while I love her, I have little patience for her.  I really need to have more respect for her, but I find things just fly out of my mouth.  I'm going to put your words into practice this week and pray that God will stop the words before then come out.  Thanks so much!

Oh, thank you. I am so glad to hear that this has helped you. If you would like that magazine delivered to your home you can call them or send me a private message here with your address. Here is the phone number to Turning Point 1-800-947-1993. If they ask about a donation, just say you want to try a few months first. They never do make you pay, but they will ask. Every three months you have to call and re-order just so they know you want the magazine still.

Be strong with your mother and Pray each time you feel like responding in a negative way. I know how hard that can be.
