Hello everyone, just had my 7 month check up today and bloodsugar workup (hate those things eww) anyways i am not sure if i mentioned already on another post or not that my doctor was talking to me about enducing my pregnancy early (i have very large babys) both my pregnancys before were early (around 34 weeks) and my daughter was about 9 lbs, my son was 10 lbs even. what i don't get right now is that my doctor said he wouldn't enduce until 36 weeks (even knowing i tend to go into labor early, specially knowing that even with early labor my babys are still so large) also what i don't understand is that with my first 2 pregnancys the doctors went by my due date as 36 weeks, this doctor is going by 40 weeks which i am know noticing is normal right? i just am so frustraded right now, i am so worried i am going to have another large baby and if for some reason i don't go early like with the other 2 and he makes me wait for at least my 36th week that the baby is going to be even bigger than my son was :-/ and if that is the case they may try to get me to have a C-section I'm just so confused right now about my pregnancy and doctor, i mean i understand they have to wait for the baby to be developed before the enduce, but given my history you think my doctor would listen to me a little more!! >:( IDK maybe i am over reacting about it all, it's just that i am so big already and worried and miserable and it seems like noone cares :'( anywho maybe i should put this in the random post lol it is kind of random |

You are one brave woman! I think a weaker person (me) would have stopped at 2 kids. Is this the same dr. you had with your other 2 children? Just curious bec. he would know what should be best for BOTH of you. If not the same dr. then he should talk to your previous dr. for sure. I fully understand the worry but try to calm yourself. Easier said than done, I know. And from my experience, a C-section is not bad. I had 2 and they were both quick. And I did a lot of praying--Good luck to you! |

No not the same doc, and the doc before is in another state, we just moved here about a year or so ago, but even those doctors didn't listen, the one i had with my son told me i was just fat and needed to take better care of myself, that there was noway he was going to be bigger than 6-7 lbs =-/ wonderful doc she was lol as for the C-section i would rather have this baby naturaly, i am scared of the idea of having someone cut me open, but if that is what it took i would do it...anyways thnx for lilstening to my Rant LMAO |

I agree with Christine. (you are brave!!) You're definetly not overreacting. I changed doctor's at 5 months because my current one was not listening to me. I would also not be too concerned about the c-section, if it is needed. The worst part is the spinal!! I don't blame you for worrying! Talk to your doctor on your next visit, and look up other docs in the meantime to see if you can find a better one (you can interview them too!) Good luck though! |
