Hi Jennifer, I live in Highwood NW it is just right by coffee and scream!

Oh ok, i live way down in the very SW corner called Bridlewood, the opposite side of the city from you, haha! I have a 20month old girl named Brooke and we're expecting baby #2 in June! How old is your little one? Are you originally from Calgary?

Lol yah that is far! I'm actually more central than further NW but its still far! My son Luca just turned 2 at the end of February and we are expecting our second at the end of August. Did you find out what you're having?? Does this group have a lot of meetup events? I'm a member of another group the calgary moms group and we do quite a few events but there are over 200 moms in the group and its very rare that new people show up to events so its hard to meet new people.

Hi Ladies! My name is Rebecca, I am mom to Lexie, 14 months and we are expecting #2 in September. I live in the SW, just off 17th Ave in Killarney. Just thought I would say hello, I would love to meet some moms!

Hey Lindsay sorry i haven't gotten back to you yet i was up north for the weekend. Congrats on your upcoming baby! Do you know what you're having? We found out we're having another girl! We were kinda hoping for a boy but i am extremely happy because girls are fun and i have 2 sisters and what would life be without sisters and aunties, haha!

I have only met up with 'young mothers of calgary' once. I think its a pretty new group so pretty much all of us are new. I know what you mean about meeting new people, its so awkward and hard sometimes.

Hi Rebecca! I just wanted to say hi and welcome! Congrats on your upcoming baby as well! Babies everywhere! Do you know what you're having?

Well it sounds like we're all meeting up on Friday to go to the zoo. Hopefully you ladies can come so we can get to know eachother and share our pregnancy stories while dealing with independant toddlers at the same time, haha! Take care and hope to hear and see you soon!

We found out that we are having a girl...we are soooo excited....though my husband wanted another boy, the thought of a girl terrifies him lol. The first thing he said when the ultrasound tech told us was...."this is going to cost me a lot isn't it??" lol word for word what a sap hey?

We're planning on coming to the zoo on friday, Luca has a nasty cough right now so we'll see how he's doing on friday hopefully we can make it we love going to the zoo!

Hi Rebecca! Congrats on number 2! Are you as exhausted as I am lol??!??! What a difference being pregnant with a toddler hey? Hope to meet up with you guys soon...most of my mom friends have older kids so it would be great to meet some moms in the same situation as me!

Just wait until your husband meets that baby girl for the first time...He will fall in love and she will have him wrapped around her little finger, lol! My daughter is such a daddy's girl! Do you find your son is more of a mommy's boy?

Brooke has a bad cough too. We have both been sick with this stupid cold for a couple weeks now and just can't seem to kick it. One of the downfalls of being pregnant and sick...you can't take anything for it! i'm sure we'll both be better by friday. Can't wait!

I agree, there is nothing like the power and charm a little girl has over her daddy :) When we found out Lexie was a girl, I think Chris was a little surprised, but I said to him "You are going to love her in a way you wouldn't love a boy," he agreed with me :) I love their relationship :) We are due Sept. 21, and will hopefully know in two weeks what we're having. I am having girl vibes, but I am usually wrong, so who knows :)

I am definitely feeling exhausted these days. I teach grades 3/4 during the day, then come home and try and fit in as much time with Lexie as I can. I can't wait for summer! I hope Brooke is feeling better soon, colds are no fun.  I am happy that I found you two on here, its great to know other moms who are pregnant too! I hope we get to meet you soon.

Well he has an brother 2 1/2 years older than him and they are really really close so he wanted Luca to have that too. But he will turn to mush when he meets her I know lol. And I know that Luca and her will be close too no matter what! I had my heart set on a little girl, I'm ready for dresses and tea parties! My mom thinks that she's going to be a tom boy just because I am such a girls girl lol.

I can't wait for summer either, Luca lives outside unless he's sleeping lol.  Lunch and dinner usually happen out there unless its raining. I'm glad we found each other too! It helps to know people in similar situations, makes it a lot easier sometimes!

I just came back onto this site for the first time in a while! How are you ladies doing with your new babies? We had a boy last September, Zachary, 11 lbs, 1 oz! He had to have surgery in April to reshape his skull as he had sagittal synostosis(where his head could only grow lengthways). In a helmet now, but doing awesome :) My little girl is starting to talk more and is tackling potty training slowly! We are spending my mat leave in Manitoba, but back to Calgary soon, I can't wait!!
