Hello everyone. I am a mother of two great little boys (5months,3yeras old). We are currently living in Italy (my husband is in the army) but we will be moving to Ft.Eustis in June. I wanted to make contact with some likeminded and hope that you can all tell me great things about the area!!! :-)

Do you know of any apartments that are recommended or that we should definately not consider when moving there? Which areas are best in Newport News for families?

Well if you are not going to live on base, I live about 4-5 minutes away from the base in a town-home community and I love it here.  Very clean and they just re-did the cabinetry so it's a really nice decent place. Residents are probably 90% military though, not sure if you are trying to stay away from that. It used to be navy housing, but I've met mostly Army families since its so close to Ft. Eustis.
