Hi, finally real people.

I never had a baby shower, never had lamazz classes (quite certain I didnt spell that right).  Sometimes I let my kids stay home from school if they want when I'm off of work. I clean up once a week and I let my one year old eat real food (not baby food) and I let her take a nap with my beagle and poodle on their pillow if she wants to.  I tell my kids they can do what they want within reason as long as they get decent grades......to be continued!

I heard that feeding a baby real food is healthier than feeding a baby "baby food".  For my oldest son, I started real food when he was about six months.  My youngest son is picker and eats very little.  I started him on real food at a year. There was actually a scare on baby food that there were bad chemicals found and there had to be a recall on it not too long ago.

Re: Baby food

Just recently in MO a woman was caught injecting things into baby food how sick! My husband comes from a "southern" family that cooks alot of what we like "pot" food.  They sale BBQ plates on nice days.  My husband has been laid off for six mos. and he has been at home with my 1 yr. old and 4 yr. old.  All they do is follow him around and eat all day long.  Both the 1 yr.old and 4 yr. old are a little stout (LOL).  I yelled at my hubby for giving popcorn to the baby and when I took it she started yelling at me!  My husband said, "Look I showed her how to take the "husks" out".  So my 15 mo. old is sitting there wacthin' toons husking her popcorn like a grown up, how funny is that.  One for her, one for dad, one for her, one for dad and so on.
