AT my wits end

I have a 13  year old daughter. Most days she can be really sweet and then there are those days when I just do not know what to do.

The way she talks and cuts people down I have also tried to teach to do onto others as you would have them do onto you. I also try to teach her not to judge a book by the cover get to know the inside.  Sometimes she will talk to me like I'm a piece of dirt and when I tell her she is grounded or something she will say just cause your friends ground their kids you do not have to ground me.  I do not like where she is headed with this and I'm affraid if she talks this way to her friends she will have no friends,

How can I help her see what she is doing is wrong.

Help me please
