There's been some discussion here about wanting to meet, but is anyone actually meeting yet?
Let's meet in a public place at first, and then we can decide in person if and when we want to meet again. I thought I just posted this message, but I wasn't logged in, and after I logged in I couldn't find it. So please excuse me if it gets posted twice.
I suggest that we meet on Monday morning, March 23rd from 10 am until noonish, or whenever the children start to lose interest. Pack a picnic lunch? Let's meet at the park on the corner of Kilgore Road and Lover's Lane, I think it is called Milham Park. There is a really nice playground there for preschoolers and toddlers, picnic area, shelter, and footpaths to walk, with wild ducks and geese to watch. Is anyone afraid of dogs? I usually walk to this park and bring my dogs too, but I can leave them home if anyone prefers. THey would be on a leash.
If Monday is rainy or very cold, we can use the nearest McDonalds as an alternate location. It is on Westnedge in Portage, not too far from the park, but a little far to walk. It has a nice indoor playland.
In the future, it might be fun to rotate meeting in each other's homes. Each of us could take a turn, and plan a few activities for the group. I babysit in a small, two-bedroom apartment, but there's not a lot of furniture in there, so there's plenty of room, depending on how many respond to this email. Also, there is a really nice playground in my apartment complex, and an outdoor pool for later.
Please RSVP if you are coming. Or you can call me: 269-330-0559.
My 2yr old granddaughter and I are looking forward to meeting you!
