little babies playgroup
Public group from Plattsburgh, NY

Hello

Hi. My name is Amanda. I am a 22 year old mother of two. Dallas is a handsome young man who is almost 4. Melanie is my little princess. She just turned 1 in January. They play great together but they need to get out into the world and meet new kids. I would love for them to meet new friends. I am a stay at home mom so they dont get out much. My boyfriend and I thought this would be a great start.

Hi Amanda, and welcome! A great place to start is the playgroup at Family Connections around the Oval in Plattsburgh. It's Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10-12, and most of the moms in this online group go there. Also on Fridays there is a play-gym (Gymboree sort of thing) at the gym on the oval, also from 10-12. I don't go to that one because my baby girl is only 10 months old, and it seems better for older kids. Your almost 4 year old will love it!

Thank you so much. I think he really needs to make some friends his own age. It's so hard when they are staying home with me all day. He will be going to pre k. He is very smart. However being a grown up at 4 is not a good thing. He needs to be around other kids so he too can be a kid.

Yeah i think we have a couple of kids his age in our group so that will be nice for Dallas.  We also have a few little ones in the group as well so that will be great for Melanie as well.  Like jodie said the oval has a few groups that we go to that the kids really enjoy,  friday is great at the gym because the kids can run around and there are ton of other kids so Dallas can meet other children.  During the summer we try to do more outdoor stuff like walks, the parks we do picnics, and we also go to Bankers which the kids love.

This is going to be a good thing for all three of us. They really need to get out and see there are other children in this world. I try to do what I can but I just moved to Saranac and its hard. I cant wait to meet all of you. Thank you so much for letting us join you!

HI Amanda!  Welcome to our group!  I have a 3 year old daughter (she will be 4 in September)  She is also going to PreK in the fall - but at Momot in Plattsburgh.  I have been taking her regularly to these playgroups so she can learn to interact with other kids.  You should defintely try to come on Friday to the gym - good times!!  We call it germ fest, just bring your hand sanitizer... lol

Welcome Amanda! We're all playgroup junkies. My daughter Eliza is 16 months old. We go every playgroup they have, it's so nice to let the kids play and have some time to chat with other moms. It's a total lifesaver. Can't wait to meet you and your little ones!

Could someone tell me where on the base I have to go tomorrow? I want to bring the kids down but have no idea what building I am going to! lol

It is the big red building with the one work source connected to it.  If you go onto the oval next to burger king, when you get to the stop sign take a left and than at the other sign go straight and you will see a parking lot with a lot of cars parked find a spot and the building is right there and it is the last door on the left as well.  I think thats right someone please correct me if i am wrong lol.
