I live in Summerville area. I am a grandmother helping raise my 3 little grandaughters. We love going to local Parks and playgrounds all aroung the Charleston area. I am disabled with fibromyalgia, but I still keep going. We find the things that are most fun around here are the often hidden parks. We go to the beach alot. Folly Beach State Park is great, they have lifegaurds and umbrealla rentals, snack stand, shower and bathrooms. It is 5$ a carload with free parking. take 61 to James Island Expressway then left at Folly Road and go all the way down and take a right at the Holiday Inn, go all the way down and the Park is at the end. My mother is 70 and in better shape than me. She is my babysitting parnter when my son and daughterinlaw work, or just for fun!
