Soak 1 bag pinto beans over night don't forget to go through them just in case of rocks. Then about 6am I rinse them put them in a crock pot with 3 chopped jalapenoes and 6 slices of bacon chopped. Cook on medium high until the rest of the meal is done.
Also Prep time can be a killer so I make the potato salad the day before and rub the chicken the day before place both in the fridge covered of course. The armadillo eggs I make when I do the beans at 6am and you can stick those in the fridge until you are ready to grill. I use a cookie sheet with those. The cake I make the day before along with the syrup. That way I will have plenty of time with company. I do hope ya'll enjoy.
