Cant sleep without me

My daughter is 6 months old. She has been sleeping in our bed since she was born. At naps she falls asleep in my arms. I used to move her to her crib or swing after she falls asleep, so I have some time to myself. She only sleeps for 30 min. She used to fall asleep fast and usually stay asleep after I put her down at her bedtime. She only wakes up once in a while and I comfort her and she goes back to sleep fast. Now though she falls asleep at naps and wont let me put her anywhere and if I try her naps are even shorter. Then at night, I put her to bed the same, do the same routine and she falls asleep the same but wakes a lot more and graps onto me and sleeps that way. She seems to not want to let me go at all and it takes me a long time to get her to let go of me and sleep again. Any suggestions?

My daughter is 7 months old and I am having the same EXACT problem. Her naps are no longer then 30 mins and sleeps the best on me. I do the same nite time routine, bath, books, cuddling and rocking, then bed. She starts off fine the first time she falls asleep and sleeps for like 2 hours on her own in her crib, then she wakes up and wants to be nursed back to sleep and I lay her back in her crib and she screams bloody murder till I put her in my bed and then she grabs onto my neck and holds onto me. She ends up sleeping in my bed all nite, waking up every hour to nurse. She is very restless all nite. I have tryed everything, even the CIO method for 2 weeks straight and nothing has worked. She will not just give in and fall asleep in her crib like most babies, she will CRY THE WHOLE NITE. I looked this up online and they called it "high needs" babies or "spirited" babies. Look it up on Dr. Sears website. He explains it well. Im sorry I dont have suggestions, I just thought you might like to know that you arent the only 1 out there going through this and maybe we can vent together ;)

Thank you Lisa. It is nice to know that this happens to others. It would be great to vent to someone.

Wow my 7 month old is doing that too, although we sleep together and thats just how it is, at night its not a problem, having to sleep on the couch and  hold her so she will nap tends to be though. The only times she will fall asleep without being held is in the car or in her stroller, so maybe try walking with her. I know it doesnt really give you a chance to do anything but at least you get to be doing SOMETHING lol. I found it helped me not be so frustrated about her naps and the lack of things I can do on my own ^^

Thanks, I will try that. Walks sound really nice, now that the weather is being a bit better. :)
