i told my son i threw them in the garbage because he knew thats where things go when they are'nt coming back like dipers.. and i told him it's because he is a big boy now and thats why i got him a bike and any new toy i got around that time was added to the list. you have to take it away slowly at first only keep it around for times of comfort like sleeping then take it out while their sleeping. when they cry remind them where it is and what they have to replace it. hope it helps!
