Getting an18 month to eat
My daughter was a very good eater until about 1 or 2 months ago. Some days she will still do great and others she will not. I still think compared with alot of other kids her age she probably does eat ok. one of the reasons i stress over it so much is my daughter is very little for her age. She is just now weighing 19 pounds. Her doctor is monitoring her weight closely and has done one test which was neg., but now since the past month or 2 it is really making me worried. Her dad and I are little so I know that is probably
all it is but it can be very stressful. Also she also is not very tall so her weight and height are proportioned well together. Does anyone have any suggestions.

My daughter is also very tiny, she in 15 months old and weights just 20 pounds now. Her father and I are small as well, as long as she is eating and not losing wieght, she should be ok. I still give my daughter a bottle, she takes pedisure shakes 8 to 12 ounces a day and that has helped her gain wieght, ask your peditrician about the shakes.

My daughter is two and half and weights 26 lbs! So she is tiny too, and very tall, some kids are just that way!! She will eat when she is hungry!! Trust me don't stress!!

my daughter loves the nutripals strawbery and chocolate shakes too you should try them cause my daughter just turned 2 but she is big and tall. SHe stopped trying things at 18 months and just eats yogurt, friut ,pb and j , some pasta and ramen noodles.

maybe you can let her pick her food Give her two choices, or you can give her a small bag of fruit or cooked veggies and let her graze (walk around and eat). But yes she'll eat when she's hungry i used to freak out because my daughter wouldn't eat and is small almost 2 and about 27lbs.but she fine active, smart, and social. don't beat yourself up about it just offer the food and let her eat what she will.

first off you're a mommy sweetie, it is your job to worry about these types of things. :) as long as the doctor ran the test and it was neg, i agree with the other moms, she will eat when she gets hungry. i know you are supposed to do the 3 balanced meals and two or three snacks but my baby eats a good breakfast and lunch. after that she snacks all through out the day. she is 20 months and weighs 26 pounds. she is also very active. but as long as the pediatrician is not worried, you don't to worry. she will be fine.

My daughter is small aswell. It used to drive me crazy when she wouldnt eat. and meal times used to be stressful but i have finally stopped worring about it (kinda..lol) and meal times are better. Like every one is saying.. she will eat when she is hungry. Some days my daughter eats like pig.. and others its just snacks all day. but she is gaining weight!!

you have every right to worry but your little one will be ok =)
