Any recomendations?

Ok, so my daughter and I both got the stomach bug that is going around and have been haveing vomiting and diaria since monday night.  Yesterday I noticed my left breast being tender, but thought that is was because I have been wearing the night time nurseing bra all day and that doesnt offer much support.  So tonight when I was going to nurse her before bed I noticed a red little puffy line going from my nipple outward.  there is only one and when you press on the nipple it is sore.  I am not sure if it is mastitius, or blocked duct, or because she is nurseing a little longer that normal.  Any thoughts on this?

Call your doctor.  The red line doesn't sound good.

have you ever heard about anyone having this?

I don't want to scare you.  So please take this with a grain of salt, since I can't see what you're talking about.  But the only time I've ever heard of a red line is when there is some kind of infection in the blood vessel.

Michelle, I had mastitis & it was pretty bad... you should definitely call your doc & get checked out. The reason I knew it was mastitis was not just the pain & redness on my breast, but also because I had terrible fever & chills. Do you have any other symptoms? Feel better!

I dont have a fever and this morning after I applied hot rag last night and this morning and the line was gone, but it is still a little tender.  I am going to call the doc this morning.

Maybe you just had a clogged duct, but I would still call your doctor. I had mastitis and my whole right breast was bright red, and I had a fever of almost 104, was achy, and had chills. I really hope that isn't what is wrong in your case. Good luck!
