Hi!

My name is Amber and I have a 2 1/2 year old son named Chase. I have been an elementary teacher for the past 5 years, but have recently decided to go part time so I can spend more time with Chase.  He is growing up so fast and I don't want to miss another second of it.  My husband was relocated to Cary, NC for work and we have been here since April 2008.  We are originally from Ohio...although we miss our family at home, we absolutely love North Carolina. 

I am looking for new friends with children around the same age who might be interested in playdates and/or family get togethers.  I live in South Cary, but will be moving to Apex in 3 weeks.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner!! That's great, I was a teacher, too, before starting my own business. Now I volunteer in my kids' classrooms and it is so great! I do miss the classroom a little, so it helps :) I am also originally from the Midwest - Indianapolis - but love it here too!

I am working on getting a group together - I have a few families from a mom's group I am in who are interested! We will propably have a cook out or meet at a park sometime in April or early May to introduce ourselves/get started! Hello!  Has this group gotten off the ground?  I'd LOVE to help start it if not!  My baby is not due for another 7 weeks, though, but I'd like to meet other moms in the area, as I really don't know many at all!
