I'm a 49 y.o. grandmother who has been married for 26 years. We recently got guardianship of our 7 mo.old granddaughter. The looks of recent events, it looks as if we will have her for many years to come. We had our "surprise" child 8 years ago and vowed that was absolutely our last. Our other children are 32, 25, and 23 y.o. Somehow God keeps giving us children, one way or another. We have come to the conclusion that we are never going to be w/o children and will never know this "empty nest" others talk about. I am a stay-at-home mom and would love to talk with others who are experiencing the same situation.
