I just relocated to San Francisco and my 5 year old is feeling the affects of leaving her friends behind. She will not be starting school until this coming fall and is very lonely for a playmate her own age. My question is does anyone have any suggestions on how i can find a social group where my child can find new friends and interact with other children? Where do i even start to finding a local playdate group? Please help! Thanks

I went to meetup.com and put in the category I was looking for (i.e. SAHM, mother's groups, etc.) and put in your location.  I found a lot to choose from.  Good luck.
