Hello!

I'm a 36-yr-old mother of twin girls and I'm so happy I can connect with other 30-something moms!  My girls are 18 months old and they're such a joy. 

I decided to join this group because I went out with the Moms of my local toddler playgroup last night and I couldn't help feeling out of touch with the 20-something moms who were at the dinner.  For example, we were talking about the Blizzard of '93 that happened here on the East coast and I mentioned that I remember it well because I was driving back ( to Penn State) from Spring Break in Daytona Beach, FL during the storm. ( I was a sophmore in college) and the other moms said "Oh, I was 12 years old", "I was 9", etc.  Aaah!

Anyway, I'd like to connect with someone else who was an adult in 1993 ( or so!)

It's good to have you and the girls.  I know I belong to in my area and most of the moms with the exception of maybe 3 are under 30.

I found myself in the same situation. I felt 10 years older. It's a strange situation. You want to get out and be part of playgroups for our little ones to socialize, and to meet some other moms and chat about mommy stuff. But on the other hand, you feel like you are on another frequency to the younger moms. I find comfort in the fact that the babies are the same age.
