The worst mother of the year award goes to................

Okay, here goes. I ACCIDENTALLY locked my daughter inside the car. Her father & I were on our way to his mom's house. We made a quick stop at the store & when her dad got out of the car to run inside my baby started fussing. So I did the first thing that came to mind, got my purse & got out the car so I could sit in the back seat w/ my baby. Well, I think my purse must have hit the switch or something but next thing u know, my daughter is in the car, windows rolled up & all the doors are locked!!! OMG, I wanted to pass out. And of course the keys were in the car! The worst part was I told my daughter's dad to find something to pick the lock w/ & asked if we should call AAA. I know, I know.. I felt like the stupid chick in horror movies. I'm sure anyone watching would have been like "BREAK THE WINDOW! THAT'S YOUR DAUGHTER!" Well, my daughter's dad didnt get stuck on stupid like I did. He grabbed a metal bar from a p/u truck in the parking lot & broke the front window. My daughter was ok (Thank God) & will never know something was wrong, but I on the other hand, will live w/ this the rest of my life. HOw the hell do u lock ur own kid in the car!!!???? Please, someone, tell me I'm not the only one!

I read somewhere Jennifer Garner Affleck did that too!  Could be worse...At least you didn't have a camera crew following you around! :)

my cousin has done that with her son...you could have called the police and they would have came and gotten the car unlocked really quick since your daughter was in there

Hahaha Ive done that exact thing! Our new car has an automatic lock when you start driving and if you open the door your door unlocks-but not all of them, you have to push the button.... -sigh-  but luckily my dad always keeps his set of keys in his pocket! LOL I would have been the crazy person standing there screaming 'ohh no ive locked my baby in the car'
I also expect my dad to get my daughter from the car when we are shopping for example so sometimes we are half way to the store and we have to run back beause neither of us has the baby! LMAO
