New Mom dealing with deployment..

Hey ladies I'm a New mom and also dealing with a deployment, Does anyone know of any support groups that meet up that I can join to help pass the time time my husband is home again. I've been in Jax for 8 months but haven't made many friends and my family isn't that close. I'd love to make new ones!!

Try Meetup.com

There are lots of groups on there and you can search by your area to find a mom's group.  I belong to a couple and they have been a true lifesaver.  I have made lots of friends and so has my son.

Hey Tammy,

My husband is also in the military and goes on lengthy deployments. We're in Canada, so things may be a bit different but, I've found that it's been helpful to get to know other military families, because they understand what it's like when your husband is deployed. Getting involved with military family resource centres may help you meet some other miliary wives and find out about local activities. Here's a couple of links that may help you find one near you : http://www.milspouse.org/,   and  https://www.cnic.navy.mil/Jacksonville/index.htm

Hope this helps.

hello, I'm a bit further south in Ft Pierce, hubby is coast guard and I understand what you're going thru as he spent a year in Iraq. Feel welcome to contact me, as I'm also new to THIS area, and don't know anyone!
