My name's Bill, and I'm currently staying home taking care of my five-month-old son, Felix (while working on graduate classes to get certification to teach art in the K-12 system).  It's nice to see a group here for us SAHDs, and I look forward to getting and sharing tips with you all!

I'm also hoping that maybe there are some folks here from NYC who might be interested in meeting up with our kids, or even just sharing info they have about stuff to do here (I'm in Ridgewood, Queens, which is essentially Bushwick, Brooklyn in terms of transit).

Wow. How cool is this. I just joined today after hearing about this website from a mom at the toddler get together at the Ridgewood Library :) I stay at home with my 2 year old, and we live right on Myrtle Ave in Ridgewood as well.

Very cool!  I'm just off Fresh Pond, by the bus depot.  My kid's a bit too young for the toddler events at the library, but we had a good time last week at the 6-12 month event!
