Hi! My husband and i are first generation Portuguese. We wre both born in ny, our parents immigrated from portugal in the 60's and 70's. I speak fluentlly Spanish and Portuguese, my husband understands and can get by with speaking both. I speak to carina in both languages so she can learn now :) Same as me, i just always knew both languages, dont remember "learning them".
