Jeanette, check you diet. I used to have adult acne breakouts up until a few years ago. A couple of years ago I went on a low carb diet and part of that diet was avoiding all transfats (hydrogenated/partially hydrogenated fats). Now I eat a maintenance diet that includes whole grains, but I still avoid trans fats like the plague. Anyway, I haven't had a break out since I changed my diet. This is after years of breakouts!

So your look to your diet.

Also remember that your hormones are in a huge state of flux and that may be contributing to your acne.

Hope this info helps.

It is hard because I need alot of calories because of nursing and my cravings are worse now that I am nursing!! Any creams or soaps that anyone can recommend??

Very mild soaps and moisturizers without any dyes or perfumes. I use Mary Kay facial cleanser and moisturizer. I have very sensitive skin and break out often, and this works well for me.

Hi Jeannette,
I agree about checking your diet. Diet is key at what sometimes happens on the outside of us. I started getting acne at around 29 yrs of age. Then I was diagnosed with Roseacea at around 34yrs. I have been using Pro-active. It works great. If you are pregnant consult your doctor 1st before using it. It could also be your hormones too.

Also, Eucerin is great too. Its very mild face cleanser and moisterizer. You can find it at any drug store or go online.
Its frustrating I know. I'm 40 now and I'm still dealing with it.

Hello Jeanette,
I know exactly what you mean, I am 30 years old and just had our 2nd child. My face broke out all the time. Changing your diet may help, but I won't say that is what you should do. Me, I love food!!!
I use Nicole Miller products and these really work for me. I don't use stuff bought in stores, due the alcohol in them. They will dry out my skin and that is not what I want. I have been using Nicole Miller for almost a year now and have not had 1 break out!! It is also very affordable. I used to use Mary Kay, but it made my skin feel tight.
I hope this helps you out.

Neutrogena has a 3 step solution set you can get it at Target and I think Walmart. It works awesome and mine cleared up in 2 days. This sounds crazy but I heard to put breast milk on baby acne and I tried it and it worked for real (I know it sounds wierd). But try that, we won't tell anyone :)

I use Nicole Miller products. Her products work just as well as Proactive, but they are cheaper. Also, they are made from all natural ingredients.
