Baby Signing Time
Hi! Does anyone have any comments about baby signing time videos, flash cards, etc.?? I Started signing with my son when he was about 5/6 months old. He started signing milk and them mommy and dog. He stopped signing so I bought the baby signing time videos. After watching them for a couple weeks he started signing dog again and milk. He now says mama so he doesn't sign it as often. He has picked up all done now too. I don't know if it is from the videos and watching other babies sign or just my repetition with them. Either way, I like these videos because he watches them, but he does not zone into them like he did when I tried to let him watch Baby Einstein's. He just sat there like a zombie. With these I can even turn the volume down with it playing in the background as he plays. I am not a big fan of baby tv, but I feel these are educational and not brain zapping! If anyone else has comments about these videos I would love to hear, both pro and con!

I bought the My baby can talk videos.  There are 3 different videos that my daughter just loves.  I would watch them with her and sign along with the videos.  I think these videos are great, I never tried any other one except the "My baby can talk" series.  They do have a website also www.mybabycantalk.com I agree about kids zone out and becoming a zombie being a bad thing.  I limit the time my 2 yr old daughter can watch tv, even if it's educational.  I think kids now a days don't get the make believe play time like years ago because of too much tv time.  But, I guess as a parent you just have to turn the tube off.
