I'm reading Trouble With Magic, one of last month's losing selections. I haven't really gotten into it so far, but I've never read a straight up mystery before, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt so far, since it is outside my usual genres.
To see what else I've been reading recently, I keep a list updated in the list section of this group of all the books I read and how much I like them. I don't think anyone ever looks at it though, since no one has ever left a comment there and I've been keeping the list since mid-September. |

I havent had a chance to read any of the books selected, but do want to............someday when I figure out how to organize my time better, or they become realistic and stretch days out from 24 hours to 30 hours. Currently, I'm in to self help books and anything to do w/ babies. Being I just got back together w/ my daughter's dad, I'm focused on making our relationship work, so I'm reading "Finding Forgiveness" it's 1 of those 7 step type books. Just started it though, but seems like it may help. Of course I still have my "What to Expect the First Year" book I read bits of here and there. I read "Baby Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy when my baby was a new born, & I'm thinking of reading it again, just for the laughs. |

I have flipped through "Baby Laughs" at the library and the parts I have read are funny. I kind of want to read the whole thing some time but who knows if I will ever get around to it.
I am reading the third book in the Luxe series. It is a series about young rich women in 1900. The series is all about the drama but I like them. They are fast reads and keep me entertained.
I have actually looked at your list a couple of times, Indigo, but just didn't comment. You read so many books! I wish I could read as fast as you. :-) |

| LOL My husband loves it when I read "naughty books" cuz it puts ideas in my head. Of this month's selections, I am definitely planning on reading the Hamilton and Harris ones. I might read the other fiction selection too, but I don't know, since it really isn't in my usual genres at all. I definitely am planning on not reading the 5 Love Languages one, since I understand that it is Bible based and I don't do Bible based books. |

Okay, I'm done with The Trouble With Magic, which reaffirmed the fact that I don't care for mysteries. Now I'm going to start reading One Silent Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon (the book that comes after Acheron). It's been sitting on my shelf since Christmas, but now that Lexi is catching up to me in reading the Dark-Hunter series, and the next two books I need are about to be coming my way via the library, I think it is time to get reading it. |

I just finished my book, envy, last night. It was good but maybe not as good as the first two. There will be a fourth coming out sometime but who knows when and that will be the final book in the series. I don't know what I am going to start next. Probably Dead Until Dark so I can get a jump on this month's books. |

Its part of a series about rich girls in their late teens early twenties living in New York at the turn of the 20th century. The first in the series is Luxe and its not as well written as the second, rumors, but it is still good. It is the authors first book so she is still figuring things out. They are meant for a young adult audience so some adults would probably find them silly. One thing I really like about them is that she always describes the dresses the girls wear and the covers of the books are really beautiful. If you like girl drama set in 1899-1900 then you could give them a try. |

I'm not so much a fan of his work, but I have read a couple of his books.
Right now, I'm reading "Breeding Ground" by Jaid Black. Even though she writes naughty books, she tells a pretty good science fiction story in the process. So far, this has been no exception. |

I just finished reading Breeding Ground and it was so stupid when it ended, I had to start a new book to wash my brain out. Like I said on the review on my list, it was okay until about page 242, but then I almost couldn't finish reading the last 22 pages since it got so dumb. I had to start a new book that I could count on to be at least somewhat of a decent read, so I started reading Succubus Dreams by Richelle Mead. The first two books in the series were really good, so I think I can trust this one to cleanse my brain :-) Probably should go to sleep at some point tonight too..... |

I just started Undead and Unwed, the first in the series by MaryJanice Davidson. I am only a couple of chapters in but I like the humor. It is seems like it will be a fun, quick read. I think some of you have read this series...? |

I've read it and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is definitely a fun, quick read! I've often said that MaryJanice Davidson (especially in that series) takes enough of a plot for a short story and adds enough snark and humor to fill it out to novel length. Yet she does it well!
I'm currently reading Dead After Dark, a paranormal romance anthology that includes one of Sherrilyn Kenyon's most recent tales in her Dark-Hunter universe. I haven't decided yet if I'll read the other stories in the book though, since I strongly prefer full length novels over novellas and short stories....and there are so many interesting novels checked out to me right now on my library account (including the three novels for this month's book selections and Sherrilyn Kenyon's MOST recent!), not to mention books I actually own (LOL) PLUS a couple more interesting looking books are on their way to me via interlibrary loan! |
