Just Moved!!
HELLO! My name is Che and I am a mother of a 19mth old little girl, who has a ton of energy. We just moved into the neighborhood near Southlands Mall, and are looking for playgroups in our area, so Maile can meet new friends, and get some good kid interaction. Would mainly be available on the weekends. We don't know our way around yet, and would like some suggestions on good parks or kid oriented activities. Thanks so much.

Hi Che
Where did you move from? My family and I have been here about a year now. We live near Southlands Mall as well. I nanny in Denver so I know a lot about activities and parks in the Lowry area but unfortunately not much around our own area. I know there is a great park off of Orchard and Tower near The Farm neighborhood. Smoky Hill Library is a really nice library with story times for little ones. Into Denver the zoo is great and the Children's Museum is fantastic for young children. Beginning in June I will be staying at home when our second baby arrives so I will be looking for more activities around the neighborhood as well. Hope this helps a bit.

We've been in Colorado for awhile, just relocated to a better school district in preperation for the school days to come, and the market being so open.
Thanks very much for the suggestions though, we actually took Maile to the History museum this weekend, and she LOVED it.. she liked the "rawrs" (dinosaurs) the best. I think we've seen that park off Orchard and Tower.. we'll have to take a trip over there soon, once the weather starts to cooperate a little better. If you're up for it we'd love to get together at a park or something.
Congratulations on your second one!!
Thanks again for your help!

I still haven't taken the kids to the History museum. I have heard that I should though. Sure we would love to meet up at one of the parks. I work four days a week but know my schedule in advance so as the weather becomes a bit more predictable we can plan something. Hope you are enjoying your new neighborhood.
