Okay, so I am new mommy and I love it. BUT now this is slightly weird to say but I need some advice, I am NOT a hairy person by nature but after the brith of my son, my hair has been growing in thicker and darker and FASTER!! I can't stand it, I suffer from the worst razor burn in the world I have tried almost every self waxing kit in the world since I am embrassed and fearful or the pain. Has anyone had a bikini wax who is willing to talk to me about it. I need details here, were you just laying there baring it all while some woman lathered you up with wax, how bad did it hurt? and how long did it last? Again I am not a fan of hair but I can't stand the razor burn either.... HELP |

It hurts like eyebrows times 3 but the pain goes away quickly, but you do get used to it and does get better each time. You keep your panties on, and I find going to someone who specializes in brazilian are more sensitive to your inner legs. And wear some cotton yoga type pants so its not obvious when you walk out ;) i wore jeans the first time, big mistake!!! And the person will tell you this, but just be sure to exfoliate often in the shower afterwards, nothing worse than ingrown hairs! It lasts for 6 to 8 weeks. Wherever you go, look for reviews online. And postbaby hair growth gets better. I just talked to my girlfriend today about how much more hairy I was with my son and the opposite with my daughter. I started getting my eyebrows and lip threaded with him cause it lasted longer than wax... not sure if you have the facial hair problem like I did. Hope that helps! |

I had Brazilian's done when I was pregnant - once at 7 months and once at 9. I thought I was the only one, but the woman said I was her 3rd pregnant woman that day - ha! It HURT, but was worth it to not have to shave while so pregnant. I wore a thong, but they see and touch pretty much everything by the time you're done, so check your vanity at the door. I shave now, and use Bikini Zone gel afterwards, then a light coating of talc-free powder....this really really keeps the razor burn away. Pregnancy and childbirth make everything so nuts - I swear I woke up one morning 8 months pregnant with a friggin beard - LOL. I bleached the hair, and it fell out completely after my son was born - madness! Good luck! |

Okay, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. Why is it that I lost the hair on my head, but grew hair everywhere else? Isnt that funny? I think the pain is worth it. |
